Friday night: State semi-final football game at Cyfair FCU stadium. Our grandson played with a cast on his hand for a broken finger. He had a good game and they won. We got home at 1a.m., I got to bed at 2 a.m..

Saturday morning, up at 6 a.m., local KC charity golf scramble at 8. My team won 4 boxes of golf balls (each player) for coming in last place, and presumably being the most honest team. In reality we pretty much knew we would end up near the bottom, so we spent our money on raffles instead of mulligans and move ups, and then won last place prizes.

Sunday morning, the temperature was 47F, wind from the north at 15-20 mph. I met my oldest grandson at the boat ramp at our duck lease at 6 a.m., but the boat motor wouldn't start. I got home at 9, and got a call from our granddaughter, who had a flat tire. I went to her house and changed her tire. It looks like a flat metal blade of some sort in the tire. I'll have to get her tire patched tomorrow, I don't think a plug will do. I threw the flat tire into my trucks bed, and met my youngest grandson, along with the granddaughter with the flat, for lunch at Pizza Inn. This grandson is the high school Sr and football player. They won their semi-final game Friday night, and play for the state championship next Saturday morning in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium (AT&T Stadium). After lunch I went to the oldest grandson house to help look for his lost wallet. It was quickly located.

Sunday afternoon, nap time, sleep and try to relax.

My wife may have found a way to get me to buy a boat. "Just think of how much more fly fishing you could do if you had your own boat" this doesn't bode well for my wallet

Why are you not at the boat store right now instead of posting about it here?!

Afford and pay for are two completely different words. I can pay for just about any boat on the market in cash. I know that it wouldn't be used enough to justify the cost. We are trying to build a house right now and she refuses to cut back on all the stuff she has us doing.
