Their gray hair and mustaches look so much more dignified than mine. They're old gentlemen, guys who'd be respected OG's in the hood. I'm just old.
Not old...just been there, done that and have the wear and tear to prove it!

I got a letter from the IRS today, informing us that the IRS requires yet another 60 days to review our return and release our refund. So maybe I will get my refund by the end of August, which I should have received by the end of March.

Maybe.

FYI: My return was initially flagged for review because my tax withholding was actually $54 more than what I reported when I filed my 1040. In order to add that $54 to my requested refund, they tell me that I must wait 5 months.... or more.

My refund is $14,500. I kinda need that by now.

Good luck.

I'm pretty sure that I've never received a refund any larger than a few hundred $, ever.

I'm at home waiting for the appliance repairman to show up and start repairing.

I did a lot of withholding, as I expected to make big bucks in my trading account. Then I failed to make big bucks in my trading account.

Tell 'em to apply that refund to your first quarter '24 payment. It'll get 'released' in a day.

The Dishwasher is working again. The washer and freezer need parts kits, so he'll be back on Thursday to finish.
