The Well Mannered Pipe

I've got this reoccurring dream where I'm walking alone through a port city on a rainy afternoon and come across a tobacconist's shop, the kind that were more common 50 years ago. Anyway, I'm staying in this town for a period of time for work of some sort and I haven't brought along my pipes , so I go into the shop and select a beautifully grained basket pipe and a pouch of tobacco from a salesclerk who is wearing an eyepatch who throws in a tamper, a few boxes of matches and a sleeve of pipe cleaners to sweeten the deal.
Anyway, I figure it will keep me out of trouble.
Anyway, this basket pipe is the sweetest smoking pipe from the get-go and becomes my constant companion until....until I wake up from my dream.

Like I said, this is a reoccurring dream. The pipe is always a briar, sometimes it's straight but sometimes it's bent or even quarter bent. The pouch f tobacco was always recommended by the salesclerk with the eyepatch, but I can never remember what type of blend, Burley, Virginia, British or aromatic.

Anyone else here have pipe dreams?
