Speaking of Manhattan's. That's my goto. Here's how I like mine:

-two parts rye bourbon (Buffalo Trace is what I use)
-one part sweet vermouth (Carpano Antica is my favorite)
-three dashes bitters of your choice (I like to mix it up every now and then)
-two Luxardo cherries (has to be Luxardo's for me)

For decades I smoked a pipe mostly in isolation. Just a few CPS meetups. Then I was blessed when a pipe smoking brother from church started a weekly cocktail hour followed by pipe smoking. Over the past couple years he created a really nice pipe smoking lounge in his warehouse next to his home. It is idyllic and I am blessed beyond measure by it. Quite a few non-smokers stop by for the cocktail hour and there's plenty of theology talk. After the hour or so we pipe smoker's retreat to the smoking lounge. There's 4 of us regular pipe smokers and every now and then others stop by, and there are extra pipes and cigars on hand for them. There's a different cocktail each week.

The man has been given the gift of hospitality to be sure.
Wishing you God's very best!

This is a win for all of you and sounds like great fun.

You have me wishing that I still lived in New Jersey.

And that's saying something.
