Election Thread II: Kamala vs. Trump

FredS wrote: 29 Jul 2024, 06:20 Kamala is either an idiot or a liar. Probably both, I suppose. She's been on the inside, telling us how sharp ol' Joe is as the world has seen his very clear decline. Even after the debate laid it bare she was telling us that, no, really, he's fine. It's seriously dangerous for our country to have the VP lie and cover up the health of the man in charge. I get it, the main job of the VP is to make the P look good, but this was way over the line and put(s) our country at peril. People see what's gone on and there's no way anyone who cares about America will support her. Don't get it twisted though, there are those who don't care about America so she'll have some support, but not a lot.
In Kamala's defense, the Democrat Party is a Machine Party.

The Machine gave us Hillary. The Machine gave us Biden. The Machine hid Biden's decline for as long as it could. The Machine got rid of Biden. The Machine gave us Kamala.

If Kamala had been a brave whistle-blower calling attention to Biden's dotage, the Machine would not have given us Kamala. Instead, we would be here protesting the Liar chosen by the Machine in reward for his or her part in maintaining the cover-up.
========================

As Americans, we would do well to vote against the Machine Party candidate. The Machine Party belongs to the wealthy donors and well-funded special interests who can buy access to the levers of power. They do not care about America.

All too often, they see opportunities in the message that America is a terrible, bad culture that needs to be torn apart and built up again in their image.

For example: The the Civil Rights lobbies have nothing to grift if America is a liberal nation of equal opportunity. So they must insist that America is systemically and incurably racist. And Democrats covet money from those rich lobbies, so they preach the message. The result is this Coronation of Intersectionalist Queen Kamala.

Election Thread II: Kamala vs. Trump

That thing where all the Democrats and all their media spokes start using the same phrase at the same time...

This week, they have all decided that J.D. Vance is "weird."

JD Vance is a Catholic dad from Ohio. Wrote an honest-to-God best-selling book -- all by himself -- about his poor and difficult childhood in Middletown, Ohio. Grew up to become a successful entrepreneur and senator. He's an Everyman sort of character, one whose success over adversity is an inspiration for all Americans.

It's the Catholic Dad part that is so "weird" to the Democrats. Vance observed that a strangely large portion of Democrat leadership are women who chose to never have children. And perhaps this is why they seem to have no regard for the future of our nation, pushing policies that offer short-term benefits for demographics other than families with children. A few years ago, Vance said that the Democrat Party appears to be run by "crazy cat ladies."

This, they say, is "weird."
=================================
Kamala has a weird personality, constantly cackling and being repeatedly unburdened by what has been. Not to mention coconuts. We can overlook that for now, as it is still a lot more fun to impersonate Donald Trump.

But Kamala has run several personal promos recently with drag queens. That's a weird choice.

My vote for Weirdest Campaign Strategy Ever is her various online rallies, each segregated by intersectional identity. "White Dudes for Kamala" (hosted by Pete Buttigieg, who doesn't dude as well as you'd like). A rally for liberal white women called "Karens for Kamala." (I'm not kidding.)

Ben Shapiro hosts a montage of clips.
8 minutes.

And here's a bunch of Democrat media enjoying a serious discussion about Kamala's novel outreach to white voters.

I think it raises the bar for both "weird" and "cringe."

I don't know where this is going. I'm just following the story down the rabbit hole.

A Democrat superPAC called "Won't PAC Down" put out this ad -- attacking "Project 2025" and JD Vance as "weird."

The people who gave us pronouns and still wear masks are calling us normals "weird." That's Kamala's campaign theme.

I'm not sure how this is going to persuade normal people to vote for Kamala.

It is going to b very difficult to know Kamala's actual position on any issue. She's going to say whatever the campaign machine tells her to say, and she's going to do whatever her favorite special interest donor PAC's tell her to do. There may be little or no overlap in those agendas.

Remember, no one voted for Biden because they wanted him to shut down Keystone XL in mid-construction and green-light Putin's completion of his Nordstream II. Those policies were hidden from voters until Biden pulled the trigger on Day 1.

Democrat media are not going to ask Kamala any hard questions. She will not expose herself to independent media.

A FOX News commenter argues (clipped on X) urges that we should pay attention to what Kamala said in the 2019 early primary season, when she was free to express her own vision for America. She is running hard away from those positions now, but does she really disagree with herself?

Just for fun, here is the Kamala parody. It's funny, and it's funny how seriously the unserious politicos are taking this. You'd think that someone for-real charged Kamala with fake crimes, or something.

Serious video:

Democrat media have memory-holed this.... They never mention Tulsi Gabbard's name anymore.

Here is a 4-min clip of the 2019 Democrat Primary debate. Tulsi Gabbard torpedoed Kamala's entire campaign, and Kamala had to drop out even before the Iowa caucus.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WabvabWvv8k

Gabbard would have been a popular candidate. She had been a field medic in Iraq and led an Army MP platoon in Kuwait. She is half-Samoan, which counts for BIPOC credit. She was a vice chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) while serving in Congress, in service of the Machine.

But she was far too independent for the Machine. She had been critical of Obama. She was fiercely critical of all the endless wars started during the Bush/Obama era. She had left her leadership post with Machine to endorse Bernie Sanders' campaign against Hillary. (Hillary, of course, was the Machine's choice.) She did not support the first impeachment of Donald Trump, voting "present."

The Democrat Machine refused to work with Tulsi after Biden secured the 2020 nomination. She was un-invited to the DNC Convention that year. She left the Party in 2022.

Nowadays, she finds herself welcome to speak independently as a frequent guest on alternative right-wing media.
