Job...
^This^ I always say the first 20 years are figuring out what you don't want to do and the last 20 years are doing what you do want to do.Pepik's Ghost wrote: 19 Sep 2022, 19:19 This need not be your career. Consider this a way station to the next thing that make you happy.
Praying for wisdom and clarity as you consider your options JM.

Job...
Seat of Wisdom, pray for John Michael and his decision.
Any good job has its advantages and challenges. Office jobs can be just as fun and tickle all of your problem-solving skills.... and most likely, you are supporting the effort that gives lots of jobs to other staffers.
You've still got your hobby farm to play with. And skills that can turn some extra bucks and charity on weekends.
Here my penny of wisdom: What do your wife and daughters want you to do?

Job...
Thank you, guys. I'm heading to the meeting in about an hour and half.
My wife is too good of a helpmate to say it, but I know she needs me to do what I need to do to give her a break. I'm hoping to count this as a blessing to be able to bless her.

Job...
My meeting went well. The offered salary was above what I was expecting, especially for not having experience in this field. I think the job will be pretty stressful until I learn the ins and outs of it all, but that's par for the course of any new job, I guess. It will require some take-home work from time to time as I'm unable to finish what needs finishing at the office. I don't love that, but again, that's probably par for the course with salaried positions.
I'm going to discuss things with my wife tonight and probably make decision by tomorrow afternoon. However, it's looking like I will most likely take the job. Thanks for your prayers, guys. I really do appreciate it.

Job...
I just officially accepted the job (over the phone).
I'll inform my current boss tomorrow. He's been the best boss I've ever had. Please pray over this. I feel like I will be leaving them in a bind and feel a bit guilty, even though I told him months ago that I was actively looking for other employment in order to make more money.
