A contractor cut our AT&T line late in the day. AT&T can’t get to us until late tomorrow.

Jim, I turned it all off last night in order to suffer along with you...I smoked some Black Frigate, some Mountain Camp and some Dark Flake. I also enjoyed some Tin Cup Mountain Whiskey. I read the latest magazines that were sitting in the stack and all in all it was a fine evening.

Hope yours was fine as well

I'm jealous. I firmly believe if we all just shut off the boob tube and got off the internet, we'd go back to civility in a week.

Probably should get rid of automatic dishwashers too. Mrs FredS and I spend more time together washing and drying dishes at the cabin than we do all week in town.

No doubt. I enjoyed every minute of it.

It’s been almost two years since we had our foundation repaired and this week we finally got the flooring replaced. I hired what was promised to be a reliable, experience flooring guy to manage the install. A crew of three bewildered looking man-children showed up and I swear only one of them was old enough to shave. They were on time, eager to please, and worked harder than anyone I’ve ever seen. Everything went fine until they got near the end and it was time for the quarter round. I don’t know how to say geometry in Spanish, but looking at their joints, I’m pretty sure they couldn’t either. I tried helping them understand and even did a couple of joints for them, but it wasn’t soaking in. I finally just thanked and paid them and told them I wanted to do the rest. I’ll be starting over this weekend.

We just returned from visiting our daughter in upstate NY this past weekend. If I could pick just one thing that I noticed at all of the airports it would be the apparent tight pants contest. Most of the participants were young ladies, but there were also a few older ladies, some girls, and at least one guy that joined in.
