My wife's pepper plants are producing heavily now.

I got plenty of fresh serranos, habaneros, and anaheims.

Now what do I do?

Ever try cream of jalapeno soup?
Jalapenos make great salsa fresca.
Thinly sliced Serranos make pizzas do the happy dance!
The next sandwich you assemble, try adding a slab of Anaheim for crunch.

Every year for our annual "State of the Business" meeting, my bosses ask about my future plans. That meeting will take place later this week. I'll be 63 in a few months and I've always said I have no plans to slow down 'till 65 at the earliest. I love what I do and who I do it with. We've worked together for 20 years, struggling through the start-up of this company where we all did a little of everything and grew to be tight, so they know I won't leave them hanging. But over the last year or so, I've been enjoying long weekends and I've started a few side projects I'd like to spend more time on, so cutting back on my day job is looking more attractive than ever.

As IrishDane says, "we shall see".

You'll know when it's time. And then you'll be so busy that you wonder how you ever had time for your job. Instead of the short nights and long days, the days will be short and the nights seem to be twice as long.

I'm getting whittled on again---rotator cuff---outpatient so it should be a piece of cake. I hope.
September is turning into an interesting month.

Rotator cuff surgery is NOT a piece of cake. Prayers your way, and feel free to call if you have any questions.

That one would have been kind of funny if I didn't love Hovamnes. Hov, old boy, call Tim. You needs to know what you're dealing with

No worries.
I had the right rotator cuff done a few years back and it was much worse (the very worse was the PT after surgery---I think the therapists names were Ouday and Cosay.
Now the left has caught up with me.
Thank you for your kind offer.

We've a got a new mechanic to take our cars to for service/repair. An independent shop owned by a former Laotian freedom fighter.
A very cool fellow who does fine work.
