I started building a Roman Low bench, so I'd have a place to do my wood working.
Like I don't have enough things to spend time and $$ on.

The Roman Low bench is taking shape----I've commandeered the patio for the construction.
So far, the lumber has been cut, the leg pieces ripped with the Japanese saw and a square Hardy-hole been fashions for work holding accessories
I also drilled the clearance holes in the main battens .
Tomorrow, sometime between mass and catching a matinee of Gladiator 2, I'll clamp the thing together, drill the pilot holes and screw the main battens on.

We took our weekly stroll through a local mall this afternoon, taking in a few sights, such as sumo wrestling. It's not often you run across sumo guys at the mall.

Yep, not often at all. Did you see them wrestle or were they just showing off their butt floss?

I haven't been inside of a mall in over a decade, at least.

Ha! Yeah I think they had been doing some wrestling but they weren't when we passed by.

Today I discovered that spade bits suffer terribly when they contact deck screws.
