Son1 came home with a tattoo today. I was pleasantly surprised after hearing rumors through the grape vine of ideas he had floated by others. He didn’t inform us, but he at least seemed to have listened to me about getting a tattoo if he insisted upon getting one.

Keep it simple, bold lines and black ink only, put it someplace easily covered by short sleeve shirts. He’s a muscle bound athlete who now plays in the Florida Grid League and is also a nationally competitive Olympic weightlifter. He wears tank tops a lot. He put it on his shoulder.

Covid finally caught up with me. My symptoms are minor and the worst part is staying away from my wife.

I played in a golf tournament yesterday, and came in 2nd. My winnings were $72.50, and a pack of Srixon golf balls. I picked up the lunch tab afterward for a couple friends that I was riding with, which then left me with a $3 deficit, and the golf balls. It was a very nice lunch. I was in bed by 8:30 last night, and out like a light, to the amusement of my wife.

Every now and then an artist I’d heard a lot of in the 70’s comes back to haunt me - the hearing of their music like an itch that demands a scratch. Most recently it’s David Bowie, and I just bought his “greatest hits”.
