Absolutely useless facts about you nobody cares about

The part of the forum where the silliest things happen. Conversations that sound like they belong here, will be moved here. Maybe.

Those who have not grown up eating grits may find them distateful. I believe that part of the problem may involve one aspect of preparation.

I wish to offer a suggestion, but first, I would like to ask a couple of questions:

1. Which is better: Plain toast, or toast with butter?
2. Which is better: A plain baked potato, or a baked potato with sour cream and butter?

The following equation is pertinent to the discussion: Carbs + fat = yum

Now, the suggestion: Don't just put a tiny pat of butter on the grits, but enough that your cardiologist faints; for carbs + fat = yum.

That is all.
I'm surprised that grits are not more popular in Wisconsin. We have corn.... and we are always looking for another butter-delivery system.

I am presently motivated to whip up a skillet of baked garlic cheese grits.
I'll be over in a minute....

It's amazing, how wonderfully comforting a pan of grits can be! Mrs. Del was surprised and pleased.

I cheated with some creole seasoned salt and extra cheese, and a big clove of minced garlic sautéed in butter.

I just read a FB post by my wacky niece where she copied an article about halting federal support for a university study about menstruation and the effects of introducing man-made fibers into the body. Funding was/will be cut because the study includes males. She's furious because "men can menstruate too".

Absolutely useless facts about you nobody cares about

Got a new bicycle. First new bike in 17 years. Been looking at new bikes for the past decade but couldn't bring myself to make the purchase. 25% off on a bike loaded with the latest tech did it. Electronic shifting, fluid disc braking and carbon fiber frame. I have the opposite of buyer's remorse. Every ride I've been happier and happier with the purchase. That doesn't happen often for me.

It's pretty sexy and racy looking and now I'm struggling with the decision to add a bag (major convenience) or keep it sleek, sexy and racy.

This is a first world problem.
Wishing you God's very best!

If they do I just hope it’s done with lorazepam, chlordiazepoxide and a dose of clonidine 🤪
