UPDATE: This security video confirms that the vehicle went up onto an embankment, causing it to go airborne 10-15 feet before crashing and exploding.

Motive of the driver unknown.

Oscar-nominated US actress under fire for repeatedly accusing Israel of genocide, denying elements of Hamas’s October 7 onslaught and downplaying scope of antisemitism.

Nov. 22, 2023 — US actress Susan Sarandon has been dropped as a client by Hollywood talent agency UTA after she said at a recent pro-Palestinian rally that US Jews fearing for their safety amid a spike in antisemitism “are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country.”

A spokesperson for the agency confirmed the decision to Deadline on Tuesday.

During a rally in New York last week, the Oscar-nominated actress declared that “there are a lot of people that are afraid, afraid to be Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence.”

During the speech, a video of which was published online by the New York Post, Sarandon also urged attendees to “have a conversation” and “listen to the facts” about the situation in Gaza, but said that they “don’t have to go through the entire history of that region” in order to understand the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.

“You can just show the babies that have been dying in incubators and the love that people have for their loved ones when they’re blown to bits,” she added. “Those images are enough to show that something is drastically wrong.”

At the same rally, Sarandon, who is not Jewish, told the crowd that being critical of Israel is not antisemitic.

“There’s a terrible thing that’s happened where antisemitism has been confused with speaking up against Israel,” she said. “I am against antisemitism. I am against Islamophobia.”

Following the onslaught on October 7, Sarandon’s usually active account on X went quiet, and it wasn’t until a day later that she began to post again, but only to share items condemning Israel and the IDF, while making no mention of the Hamas atrocities.

As the war has unfolded, she has continued to share accusations of genocide and war crimes by Israel, has shared misinformation denying elements of Hamas’s massacre inside the Jewish state, and has characterized Hamas as a “resistance group” rather than a terror group.

Her remarks last Friday were the latest in a series of controversial speeches the actress has made at various pro-Palestinian rallies.

At a rally earlier in November, she told attendees that it was important to examine the events of October 7 in the context of Israel’s history, which some saw as her blaming Israelis for the Hamas attacks they had endured.

“So many people don’t understand the context in which this October 7 assault happened,” she said, “They don’t understand the history of what has been happening to the Palestinian people for 75 years. So this is an opportunity to educate people if they can have an open mind.”

McGregor is now calling out the Irish government for failing their people and even calling them out for climate hypocrisy.

"People looting shops amidst the anger and rage Ireland has for the many failed policies of government. Has this regime ever had even one successful policy?"

"Health service in shambles. Abominable housing crisis. Immigration wide open. Climate hypocrisy rubbed in our face. Danger on our streets at an all time high. Can we point to any successes?"

This is an eye-opening flash of reality that the woke set never saw coming.....

The situation in Palestine is simple enough: Israel has given autonomy to Palestine/Gaza/Hamas for twenty years.... their own elections, their own government, every step toward a "two-state solution" that the international community has asked for.

However, Hamas does not want a two-state solution. They want Israel gone and every Jew dead. So they used all of the international aid and all the free infrastructure that Israel has given them (electrical power, water) to build tunnels and stash guns and rockets. Waves of suicide bombers forced Israelis to cordon off the region and prohibit travel outside of Gaza.

There could be a a two-state solution already, if Hamas wanted it. All they have to do is pledge to live peacefully with their neighbor, Israel.
Or Palestine could thrive happily as a state of Israel, dwelling peacefully with their Jewish neighbors. 20% of the population in the peaceful side of the Israel are Arab Moslems, already enjoying jobs and prosperity alongside their Jewish neighbors. It's not difficult for them in any way.

Hamas have repeatedly refused to come to the table to discuss it -- most recently during the Trump-era Abraham Accords, with Arab states offering Hamas $50 billion in infrastructure grants to open up.

All we hear about is "apartheid state," even though 20% of Israeli residents and citizens are peaceful Moslems and Arabs, enjoying freedom and prosperity. We hear about "settler colonialism," even though all the Jews have been expelled from Gaza. It is only Hamas who enforce an apartheid.

MEANWHILE, IN IRELAND..... They have endured an immigration rate of 15% per year for over five years. With a little bit of math, this means that over half of the population of Ireland are recent immigrants, not Irish-born. These immigrants have little incentive to embrace Irish values or assimilate into Irish culture. They aren't even Christians.... most are from poor Moslem nations.

This is what your woke niece would call "settler colonialism," right?

If this were happening to Palestinians, woke ethics says they would deserve to riot and rape and murder and kidnap hostages. Wokesters like Susan Sarandon insist this is happening in Palestine, and so we must join protests to support Palestinians.

But when "settler colonialism" really is happening in Ireland and the indigenous people flash in angry riots, the wokesters call them bigots and "right wing extremists." The police even investigate Conor McGregor's tweets with lots of talk about "hate speech."

Funny thing is that Conor isn't even calling for senseless violence. He just wants the Irish government to mind the borders and get immigration under control while the current batch are settled and assimilated. Meanwhile Hamas is doing actual, horrific violence.

They even managed to link Trump and Hitler in the same sentence, at least in Wos's copied text. I dislike Trump, but this type of trash article is just ridiculous.

I noted with a chuckle that this is in the Forbes Business section. Not editorial opinion, or even political reporting, but the Business section. The same rag has a recent history of promoting financial felons. Sam Bankman-Fried (FTX/bitcoin thief) and Elizabeth Holmes (straight up thief and con artist behind Theranos) come quickly to mind as Forbes vaunted young entrepreneurs. Forbes jumped the shark a while ago and people would be fools to look to them for wisdom or guidance, no matter the subject.
