It is astounding how the mainstream media went from reluctantly reporting that Kamala's polling as VP was even less favorable than Biden or Trump -- to suddenly singing full-throatedly about how amazing she is.
Any adequate news media would be complaining that the new candidate has not made herself available to reporters for questions of all sorts.
Trump sat down with the Black Journalists National Association for unscripted questions, knowing full well that the moderators and audience were overwhelmingly Democrat supporters.
Kamala was also invited. Kamala claims that she had some sort of schedule conflict that day. Fine.... but has Kamala made an effort to talk with anyone? At any time?

Election Thread II: Kamala vs. Trump
Okay.... Kamala's not sayin' anything. And her media aren't asking. This is her campaign. Get used to it.
Meanwhile, Trump appeared at the Black Journalist National Association conference. He said a lot of stuff.... but the Kamala media are focused on the moment when Trump observed that Kamala only became Black recently. She used to be Indian... or Asian, depending. Kamala says Trump is being racist and divisive, yada yada. A lot of guys think that Kamala is just being disingenuous.
So a local TV reporter in central Pennsylvania decided to visit a local Black barber shop to see how local folks feel about all this. This brief clip (on X) has gone viral:

I liked how the local guy took over the interview and got everyone to speak up. I went looking for more context. I found this right-wing guy on YouTube with more of the original barber shop and CNN follow-up stuff, plus his own commentary. He's worth the 18 minutes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rTDvcsr7-c
Meanwhile, Kamala's white-guy media are hell-bent on making this all about race. Here is George Stephanopoulos, just losing it like a dog that got its bone taken away:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtFBQA_ThEc
I'm with YouTube guy.... Race, gender and even "likability" do no matter. We need leadership with policies that matter. We need to hear something from Kamala that is more substantial than just more abortion. Trump's braggadocio and Kamala's cackling are not relevant, and neither are their race, gender, or age.
Race shouldn't matter, in any case. (Except for barber shops. If I had Black hair, I'd go out of my way to find a great Black barber to help take care of it.) Race should not be divisive in America. The best thing to do with "diversity" is to laugh and enjoy it. I stumbled upon this guy in my searches.... This is how we should enjoy racial and cultural diversity in America:

Harris v. Trump debates: The gamesmanship displayed by the Trump and Kamala campaigns is entertaining to watch.

Well, the powers that be have named Walz as Kamala's running mate. Kamala is still doing as she's told. BTW, Walz sort of reminds me of Biden in appearance.

Election Thread II: Kamala vs. Trump
Ben Shapiro is giddy. Worst possible choice for Kamala's campaign.
Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania was the obvious choice. Pennsylvania is a must-win swing state for both candidates. Shapiro is very popular in Pennsylvania (60%+ approval). He is reasonably moderate, shoring up Kamala's new image as a moderate option to Trump.
But.... Shapiro is a Jew. The Democrat Party is infested with anti-Semitism. Kamala fears a bunch of pro-Hamas riots at their Convention in Chicago.
So she didn't pick the Jew. Instead, she picked the most radical, far-left-of-Bernie governor -- from a Democrat stronghold state.
Walz stood back and watched as Minneapolis burned, and now he's VP to the former Senator who opened a fund to bail out the rioters in Minneapolis!
Walz's record is just as hard-left -- and easy to report on -- as Kamala's.
- Walz has committed to a carbon-free electric grid in Minnesota. (People will die without reliable electricity. It's cold.)
- Walz declared Minnesota to be a "Trans the Kids Sanctuary" state.
- 100% abortions without restrictions (All you have to do is be pregnant).
- Increased state budget by 44%
- long list of far-left policies that goes on and on.....
Kamala has just ceded the political middle ground to Trump's campaign. Just the sort of political incompetence that one would expect from Kamala. She's relying on political cover from her media to make up the difference. (Plus a good dose of voter fraud, and a gross underestimation of the wisdom of voters.)
This could be arrogance on her part. Trump picked Vance, signaling that he is serious about the MAGA agenda and its legacy. Kamala might be so convinced that the Far Left owns this country that she means to pursue Socialist Control as legacy.
Ben Shapiro's conclusion: Trump's campaign just got easier, if they have the wisdom to capitalize on this.

If Trump can focus on the issues rather than identity politics---like he did in the Biden debate-- he'll clobber Kamala if the Secret Service can do their part and election is fair.

FLASHBACK: Walz Implemented COVID Hotline To Snitch On Neighbors
VP Pick Walz Says He’s So Pro-Abortion That Nancy Pelosi Suggested He Moderate Stance
Walz Signed Exec Order Protecting Trans Procedures On Minors While Holding Hand Of Gender-Confused 12-Year-Old
FLASHBACK: Walz Implemented COVID Hotline To Snitch On Neighbors
In March 2020, Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz’s administration implemented a hotline encouraging people to snitch on their neighbors who weren’t following the government’s COVID lockdown orders.
The hotline generated thousands of reports – against people playing basketball, walking their dogs, or attending church, local outlet Alpha News reported in 2022. Walz’s administration continued to monitor the hotline until November 2020, though it remained operational until June 2022.
...
Another person reported a police officer who threw a birthday party at his house, and someone else reported that there were “too many people in Walgreens at once.”
Another email complained that people were “going to their cabins,” and others noted that construction workers weren’t practicing social distancing,
Another complained that people were buying non-essential items at a convenience store, like lottery tickets, candy, or soda.
VP Pick Walz Says He’s So Pro-Abortion That Nancy Pelosi Suggested He Moderate Stance
When Walz first ran for governor back in 2018, he joked about his extreme views on abortion.
“My record is so pro-choice Nancy Pelosi asked me if I should tone it down,” he said. “I stand with Planned Parenthood.”
Walz Signed Exec Order Protecting Trans Procedures On Minors While Holding Hand Of Gender-Confused 12-Year-Old
That's not creepy at all.In March of 2023, Walz signed the order in response to numerous Republican states taking action to ban or curb gender procedures on minors. At the time, Walz said, “Protecting and supporting access to gender affirming health care is essential to being a welcoming and supportive state.” The governor signed his executive order while holding the hand of a 12-year-old boy who claims to be a girl.

As always, they will glom onto one of Trump's throw-away lines and try to make that the main issue.
Fortunately, down-stream Republicans have figured out this trick and refuse to fall for it -- as the Congressman handled George Stephanopoulos.
