I didn’t find a thread for this. Let me know if I missed it and I’ll repost.
I hope this thread flourishes with all of us contributing.
Our family grew this week. The grandson y’all knew on the old site as Pigboy (an FFA thing) became a dad. He and his precious wife gave us great grandchild number three, just four days before Rita’s birthday. She was so excited about the baby we wanted him to make to her date, but the baby is healthy and perfect and the date doesn’t seem to matter now.
You may remember praying for the parents. A year and a half ago her dad died just before the wedding. His dad died a short time after. They got a rough start. The new baby carries both father’s names in remembrance and is already helping the family heal.
I present to you, Ronald Paul. He and his Crappa are already creating mischief and making plans.
Now I also have Ronnie’s young cousins in East Texas to make up for lost time with. Many road trips yet to come for them. More pics to follow.

Awesome. Just awesome. Life is brutally beautiful. I was sitting here in a rental cabin on Lake Cayuga in Trumansburg, New York, smoking a pipe and marveling at me eldest daughter searching for little mussels, thanking God for letting me see it. Turns out youre doing the same thing.
I've liked any Paul I've ever met, btw.

He looks just like you! Does he like chili?
Congratulations. May God bless you all and speed your thriving through pain and joy.

This is my buddy, Nate. Yesterday, Nate was baptized. Of all the people he could’ve invited to attend, he asked only for me and his best friend from school. It was a high honor to make the cut.
Nate’s parents asked him what he would like to do to celebrate his profession of faith and he asked for new boots “… for his walk with God”. After the service we continued the celebration over BBQ and he asked me for pic.
Talking to him is a joy - the greatest combination of old soul and wide-eyed innocent kid. He inspires me.

I went down to Denver to buy some fancy bicycle parts Saturday morning. 30-something Mexican dude, by way of LA, runs a shop out of his back shed in the hood. The only way he and I could be more different is if one of us was a woman. I was the only one there that morning and we hit it off and spent an hour talking custom and lowrider bikes, cars, wives, kids, even some politics. I hate that we live in a place and time where folks try to tell us that two very different guys, with only a few things in common, have to hate over the differences. Meeting and hanging out with Juan (yes, that's his real name) made my entire weekend. I'm still smiling over it.
