Been playing for over 45 years. Have not purchased a cue in well over 20 years.
Wanting to move into the new millennium, this is my recent purchase: Carbon Fiber Shaft with real Abalone and intricate white wood, ebony, and orange walnut inlays on 5 points with a tri-sectional embossed leather wrap! Beautiful cue!

The BIGGEST surprise is that I don't play any better with it! :-)

The only pool I play is cow pasture pool. But that's a very nice stick. I've seen some fancy pool cues before, but that one is very beautiful and stylish. Congrats!

That cue is beautiful. Truly.

I grew up in a pool table house. Love the game, but play like an amateur hack. As a young man I had a couple of so-so custom cues. I don't really even know what became of them.

That pool cue is beautiful. Do you have another one for righteous beating purposes? Be a shame to damage that one!

I carried a very similar one when I was younger behind the bench seat of my truck with the case unzipped. Never knew when an unexpected game of billiards might arise!

For the record, I have never beaten a man with a pool cue. I think I should make that clear.

After nearly 30 years, here are some of the ball sets I have acquired. I change them out every week to keep things interesting:
This first set is by VIGMA and was commissioned as a fund raiser for wounded veterans in the late 90's

Here is a set called "Prestige Elite." There were only 200 of these made. Very hard to come by these days. Again about 20 years old.

Just for fun, here is a collection of 8 balls I have picked up through the years. It's enough to practice with a table full of 8's

Classic "Brunswick Centennials"

This "Poker Pool" set comes with some fun games. I like to mix these balls in with other sets to replace the 8 or 9 ball for fun.

This is a very popular modern maker called "Dynaspheres" from China. These are called "Palladium"
Image
These were made by a company called "Elephant Balls" back in the 90's. This set is called "Beautiful Balls"

I will post some other cool sets later.

This is an amazing set called "GoBocce" for playing Bocce on the pool table. The rules are a little different but it's a lot of fun. If you ever see a set of these, grab them. Very collectable and a lot of folks on Ebay will pay a surprising sum for this little set if in very good condition. Just having the small logo tape measure with it adds another $20 dollars or more to the price!
