Good Friday

It's been a rough year already for me but this week seemed to really punch me in the face. Seriously each day this week thus far something has happened that would, on it's own, be enough for a nine day tale or more.
It's a strange blessing however that it's all happening this week. I've been able to really put all of my problems in perspective of Holy Week and how our Lord not only suffered beyond what is happening to me, but because of that, he can meet me in my own suffering. There is a strange tension in faithful suffering. I know God has a plan for my good and that even through suffering He will bring it about. I know this. The Scriptures are replete with that truth. And yet it's like constant amnesia and I find myself constantly questioning Why. It's been a blessing to hear the same tension from our Lord's lips, however much it outshines my own.
No matter how bad this week was, or how bad today might be, today is Good Friday.
Let us look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
