What's the latest wisdom on storage?

I just picked up a couple of 250 gr packages of 'baccy (I won't tell you what kind b/c then I'll just have a dozen new best friends and no tobacco).

Anyway, with the demise of the old site I can't look up what you guys do for storage (and I'm too lazy to sift through the internet).

What do you fellas do? Mason Jars? Wax?

Do you leave it in the original package until you decide to smoke it?

I store in the original tins, if they are tins.

If the packaging material is permiable, I transfer to canning jars and seal it up.

I have great tobacco that is a decade old or more. This has proven adequate.

Stick with Del here. Packed tightly in a regular mason jar with a new lid with fresh seal and kept in a cool dark cabinet, tobacco will be as new for decades until opened. I have some now over 20 years and any of them open as brand new.

Regular old Ball canning jars and lids.

Use the "Regular old Ball canning jars and lids" as directed above. You can leave some air in there too. You'll here little pings and pops coming from your tobacco cellar every now and then as the aging process begins, the air in the jar is reduced, and the lid is pulled downward into a very tight seal by the naturally occurring vacuum.
