I am not as cool as JimVH. Nor or you. Well, unless you ARE JimVH.

Found a bunch of odd charges on a credit card today. Turns out my bride got scammed a couple of days ago on a too good to be true email offer. I wanted to be mad, but she was trying to do something nice for me as a surprise.

The surprise part was sure a success.

Everybody's happy about another tech bubble in the stock market, except me.

Sorry to hear that it was a scam...but now you get to make a new friend with the nice person in India who will help you with the claim.

And I'm sure they'll have a down home name like Bill or Susan.

BOA was very cool about the whole thing. It did make me smile when the fraud department girl answered the phone and almost immediately made it a point to say she was helping me from Arizona :)

I realized that I've just lost my favorite horseshoe.
I'm pretty sure it's a lucky horseshoe because it came off a Percheron, which is a big horse (wearing big horseshoes,) back in the nineteen twenties or thirties.
I suspect it is a lucky horseshoe because a trencher working on where our old family vineyard was picked it out of the soil and slung it at me, just missing my coconut.
That's lucky, right?
Anyway, I've always kept it someplace where it would be safe, but now I can't find it.
Perhaps I'm out of luck!

I loaned my Orvis 5wt fly rod and reel to my 17 yr old grandson today, for the week, while he's on vacation to the hill country with friends. He's also got a tobacco tin with various flies that may have been tied by FredS and other CPSers. In fact I'm pretty sure they were.

Tomorrow I'm going to church with my 93 yr old father in law, for fathers day, then afterwards we'll meet him at Pizza Inn for lunch.

And I'm in between, and up late tonight, and reading the nobody cares thread on CPS, and realize what I already knew. The guys on here really do care. Even Biff, if he won't admit it.
