There are basically 4 riding positions (like most drop bars). The flats (near the stem), the corners (where bars curve forward), the hoods (top of the brake levers) and the drops.
Because of the tall stack on this bike the bars are higher than on a CX or road bike so it'll be more comfortable for an old guy with arthritis.

Bike is being repaired, will pick it up Saturday morning.

I've have Microshift trigger shifters on several of the family's bikes. Was hard to find Shimano stuff during the shutdown. I like it. It's more heavy handed than Shimano or SRAM. Feels industrial. This is my first try at one of their derailleurs and brifters.
