The OFG's Pocket Knife

Post about everything from carrying a handkerchief to manly skills (sharpening a pocket knife, etc), to product reviews of items that may have slipped inder our radar (ie Grandpa's Pine Tar soap). No threads on anything 'new' unless it hearkens to old-fashioned sensibilities and ideals.

Cool that you posted a pic of the yellow OldTimer. I was thinking yesterday about yellow pocket knives. I remember seeing them in store knife displays while "Window Shopping" and I remember thinking, "...why would anyone want a yellow pocket knife?"

Well I have 2 old Ulster Fisherman's Pride knives that are yellow and an ebony Western fish knife that was put together from 2 yellow Western fish knives (Now with ebony scales). I was looking at my yellow knives and my tastes must have matured, cause now I really like the look of the yellow scales on your OldTimer and was wishing the scales on my knives was a little more yellow...

Nice to know I'm not the only one who fiddles with pocket knives during online meetings. Especially knives with firm snaps. Did it just this morning.

Nothing OF about it, but I’m in old jeans with a hole in the pocket. Needed a clippy thingy today.

I work in a lab. By "lab," I mean a disheveled warehouse with computers, big tools, and lots of wires. I'm pretty sure everyone there has a pocketknife.

Clippy knives are by far the most popular choice. One girl has a pink one. She's cool.

The RR are such great knives and that Trapper is no exception.
