Absolutely useless facts about you nobody cares about

After 3 or 4 years on hiatus from pipe making and a move to a new (to us) house, I've finally started putting my workshop back together. Should be humming in a week or so.

Today we head back to Texas from SC in a much smaller car then we started the trip with. If you see somebody on the interstate looking like the Beverly Hillbillies, wave, that's us.

While I have never had exactly the same experience, I can relate.

The 2005 Sequoia: On a recent beach trip, one of the two tee junctions for the heater hoses exploded. The plastic had decayed. I replaced it. On the same trip, the #5 cylinder started misfiring. I replaced the plug. The problem was the coil pack. I replaced it. A week later, there was a coolant leak. The shop fixed a heater hose. The #6 cylinder started misfiring. I replaced the seven remaining plugs and coil packs. I also replaced the other tee junction, since the plastic may have decayed on it as well.

Get a horse?
Praying.

I just want our Passat to hold together long enough to trade it in.
Or until I can buy a horse.

Hurricane Beryl's outer bands are already coming through here this morning.

Looks like I might get to see it from the inside. Don’t remember being in the eye since Alicia in the early 80s.

I’m the blue dot. We’re in good shape, so far. Had a dead pine limb come down earlier and ding up one of my gutters. We can talk about my utter contempt for pine trees as residential landscape in another thread another time.

Yeah, good luck and a prayer your way. We're on the upside of this one, but so far so good.

1. Remove radiator cap.
2. Drive a new car under it and reinstall.
Problem solved.
