Columbus Pipe Show 2024

Post by joegoat »

Hi everyone! Popping in. Man do I miss this forum! I don't devote enough time to it. I truly regret that. I'll try to devote a bit of time in the evenings to it.
I'm planning to be at the Columbus pipe show this weekend. Anybody planning to be there? I'd love to say hi.
Being a dad has kept me away from the Chicago show for the past few years. Columbus is a day trip for me so it's been a good pipe show fix. My buddy Bdaily (Brandon) is planning to be there. I think he's posted here twice . He's a cool dude.

I've seen news about it on FB. Hope you have a great time and a great weekend. If I lived an hr away I'd make every effort to attend.

I'm right about an hour away. It's a great show. No complaints about it.

Dang! This was not on my radar.

With some advance planning, I could've plastered the back of my old car with TRUMP-VANCE stickers and pilgrimaged to Ohio.

You and Brandon have come to Chicago several times. I owe you a visit.
I could probably get Pipeson to come with.

I'm in your phone, right?

No, but I just scored a sweetheart of a deal on a collection of old smooth pre-trans Barlings, Charatans, Sasienis, Comoys, dunhills, Loewe's, Ehrlich, Owl Shop, etc in perfect condition along with about 100 tins of aged tobacco including 2 1 Oz tins of ww2 era pope's escudo and players medium navy, a collection of pipe books, and high end lighters.

Gentlemen, I am strangely chuffed. Did I mention the pipes came in their original boxes?

I are done. Done I say. No new pipes.

Wow! No ... double WOW!
The young lady inherited them from her father and I sent her to resellers originally because of their value. She decided she didn't want them split up and wanted my assurance that I'd never sell them. She quoted me a price she said was double what her highest offer was and I immediately agreed.

Wasn't cheap but much less than buying individually. I'll make some tobacco available gratis to you all once I figure out what's in there.

Ha! We've all been at the, "No more pipes or tobacco" stage. Yet, we always manage to find something else we can't live without. That is the nature of collecting.
