We're down to a single paring knife in our kitchen and I use that paring knife quite bit so I went on-line to do some shopping for reinforcements.
Paring knives, heck any good kitchen knife around here tends to disappear (How? It's a mystery!) So I didn't want to sink a boat load of money in this, so I opted for a brace of Opinels for about $20 bucks with free shipping.
I like Opinels and have had #8s in my picnic basket for the past four decades, but these #112 I ordered aren't folders, of course they still look Opinel-ish, with beechwood scales. These paring knives aren't full tang, and they are stainless, not carbon like my trusty #8, which is OK with me though I'm sure some knife aficionados would find fault, but it is what it is ---a pair of inexpensive paring knives to knock around the kitchen that aren't made in the PRC.
So I ordered a couple of paring knives
