Ball rolling...
I'm in the same boat JM. Probably 15-20 half finished pipes in the drawer.
What material is the stem? Will that grayish material form the entire stem? By the chuck marks, it looks like it's pretty soft or you're a gorilla when it comes to clamping things.
That's a really nice shape.

It's an aubergine type of color and ebonite/SEM. I think I picked it from Steve Norse a few years back at the Chicago show, but I can't totally remember. It is pretty soft stuff, but I probably clamped too tightly as well.FredS wrote: 11 Apr 2022, 07:11 I'm in the same boat JM. Probably 15-20 half finished pipes in the drawer.

So, just stem work? Whatchew waitin' for? Stop going for selfies with butterflies and get to work, for cryin' out loud.jmg wrote: 08 Apr 2022, 20:28 Just to get the ball rolling, this is the last pipe I made *started to make* before heading back to PNG the last time. We've been home now two years and I still haven't finished it. I'm a mess.

I hear you, JM! I'm right there with you. It's been over two years since I made a pipe. We moved to a new house and I've yet to put my shop back together. I have the perfect space for it in the mechanical room in the basement. Poor Lushmojo has been waiting as long for me to finish a replacement stem for one of his pipes. Btw, those acorns are sweet! You've come a long way since Gonad!
