Penny found a cabinet online that was local for the right $$. When I went and picked it up yesterday I got a large splinter in my finger. I put tape on it last night, but it was still buried deep in my finger this morning. I just now at my desk at work, used my Case small Stockman red bone knife to dig it out. Man is that knife sharp...sliced the skin over the splinter and out it came...no muss no fuss.

A little tense up in here this morning as we woke to the news of a plane crash in DC yesterday while knowing Mrs FredS's brother also flew to DC yesterday. He's safe.

This evening I pressed the remote for the garage door and stood there at the door as it raised. When the bottom of the door got 5 or so ft up, I stooped down, preparing to duck under the door, when suddenly a 3-4 ft long, nice fat, Texas rat snake fell from the back side of the door and landed on the garage floor with a plop, about three ft in front of me. This was a couple or so hours ago and I'm still not quite back to normal.

I guess now would be a bad time for a lecture on the beneficial aspects of rat snakes?
