Jim sounds like a fun trip to the range. Sorry your Glock build didn't work out. The good news is that you still have the factory Glock parts and it will likely shoot well with them.
Indeed. I already shifted one back to factory (a G17 I didn't mention), less an upgraded trigger. I'm not giving up on the other.
I'm a Glock lover. I have several of them in multiple calibers. They make a great gun that just simply works. Once you start adding other companies' parts, you induce failures.
I bought a Polymer 80 frame several years ago because it was so cheap and easy to complete. It works, but it's s no Glock.

I did a 19 P80 build a couple of years back and it out performs every Glock I own. Can’t do anything wrong. Outside of that one example, I agree. I’ve moved most of them back to stock with the exception of a couple of sight upgrades and one trigger change. I’m really not fond of the Glock triggers.

So its been a long time since I bought .22 ammo. I "loaded up" between the panics and while I shoot regularly, the grand girls are mostly grown and not shooting. So I have plenty for my use.
I was looking at a site last night for some specialty .22, some segmented/quiet and some heavy weight bullets. As I was perusing I noted that CCI mini-mags are .10 a round and can be cheaper if you buy in bulk, Winchester WildCats .09 a round and less in bulk...Not bad...I know its not the .02 a round we used to have, but all ammo is up and prices are high, that last time I had checked, CCI mini-mags were .18 to .20 a round in bulk...so break out the .22 pistols and rifles...its spring and time for plinking and vermin shooting. I have some stingers that are gonna see some field use on the pack rat population at the cabin.

I have luck buying from a local auction house. If I can get Blazer (a CCI sub brand) for less than .08/round total cost it's worth driving to Eaton CO to pick them up. Mrs FredS and daughter #3 were at the outlet mall in Denver a few weeks ago and I dropped in to Cabelas to kill some time and they had pretty good prices on .22 ammo so I bought 500 rounds. Don't recall the brand but the kid unlocking the ammo cases was telling everyone within earshot that he won't shoot that brand.
