Who will it be?
What will happen to the Catholic Church?
Are you exited about new leadership?
And after he is elected, what do you think of him?

  • Who will it be?
    • :confusion-questionmarks:
  • What will happen to the Catholic Church?
    • The same thing that always happens to the Catholic Church, viz., getting both coopted and blamed.
  • Are you exited about new leadership?
    • It's like opening an Xmas present.
  • And after he is elected, what do you think of him?
    • Future Wos sez, "That pope's alright."

CBS Liberal News wrote:Cardinal Matteo Zuppi... wants a church that listens to the faithful and is willing to modernize. Zuppi is inclusive of same-sex couples, as well as people of different religions.
Hopefully not him... though "inclusive" is not defined here. It is good to include others by showing love to them, but not all should be recognized as a part of the Church. The media tends to twist words.

Latin Patriarch Cardinal Pizzaballa would be an excellent Vicar of Christ.

Just as Cardinal Wojtyla of Krakow, Poland, was elevated to the papacy and became a world leader in the peaceful fall of Soviet communism (with US President Ronald Reagan)....
Thus also may the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem become a world leader toward lasting peace in the Holy Land and the Middle East (with US President Donald Trump.

To think that this could happen twice in one human lifetime!!!!
Holy Spirit, may Your will be done!

Wikipedia wrote: Cardinal Pizzaballa is opposed to the blessing of same-sex couples and the readmission of divorcees to the sacraments. However, he has stated that he desires a pontificate in continuity with that of Pope Francis, openness to immigrants and a greater role for women in the Church.
This is as it should be.
Any Pope will urge wealthy nations to be generous and welcoming to immigrants.
A Franciscan like Pizzaballa will urge us all to charity.... without obfuscating, jesuitical blather like "due process." Charity is not an ideological concept.... Charity is willful action.

And the Catholic Church desperately needs to restore women to the noble, necessary and powerful position of raising and educating children.
We need religious sisters more than we need more priests. Our shortage is acute.
Feminism demeaned women and motherhood, urging women to abandon their positions of highest honor in society -- and go to work for corporations. We need a pope with some Harrison Butker in him!

However, as we saw with Francis, a Pope cannot effectively lead us in heroic charity when he also winks at license toward worldly sins and a careless disregard for biblical truth.

We know what CBS means when CBS says "inclusive."

We know what CBS means when CBS says "inclusive."
We also know that CBS takes words out of context to make them mean something the original speaker might not have wanted. They doesn't let their news be obfuscated by facts.

CBS makes it sound like Zuppi wants the Catholic Church to include LGBTQ+ people and people of other religions as official members in good standing. It is possible that CBS may not be giving us the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I don't trust the American secular media's reporting on any pope.

Left-wing secular media told us that Pope Benedict would be "Hitler's pope" and "God's Rottweiler." He turned out to be a big teddy bear.

Left-wing media told us that Francis was finally the pope they have been waiting for.... a liberal, gay-loving, border-breaking globalist. (Of course, they ignored Francis's frequent urgings to protect innocent and unborn life.)
Right-wing media swallowed the leftist narrative and condemned Francis for being a leftist.

It didn't help anyone that pseudo-Catholic media like National Catholic Reporter and Crux played the fiddle of the American Left. Just confirmed everyone's bias.
