I moved my day job to the mountain cabin a few days ago so I could go fishing after work. Been cold-windy-foggy-rainy for 3 friggin days. 32 and wet snow/rain right now in what will be the warmest part of the day.

Oh well, the water heater took a dump so I've had time to take it and it's closet out. And time to order the new (bigger) stuff from Home Depot. The rotten thing is that I'll have to drive to town in this slippery mess tonight. Still, I have the dogs for company and there's no place I rather be. Well, I'd rather be fishin' but that's it.
I need to drain our WH, it's really bumping and thumping pretty hard, as though there's lots of scale built up. But anyway, my grandson and I fished a local marsh yesterday evening from about 5 til 8, and boated at least 40 bass during that span. It was a strike or a hook-up on pretty much every cast for the last hour. Amazing evening, seeing and hearing blow-ups all around us, while teal and other waterfowl and shore birds flew by or overhead.

Not saying you would, but don't let those good days go by without heaps of thanks and gratitude. Your whole world may blow up tomorrow, but yesterday - in the boat with your grandson, with bass and birds popping everywhere - it was good to be you.

Thanks Fred, you're right on, and I'm holding on to days like these with all of my might these days.
