MrsCoco's Surgery
Keep praying for that night of sleep, buddy. It is outpatient surgery, but we reserved a Courtyard hotel near the surgery center for tonight and tomorrow, since we have to go in at 5 AM and the surgeon recommended that we stay in a hotel nearby for the night after the surgery (a clever idea invented by insurance agencies?). When we arrived, the hotel had "overbooked" and they were sending us to another hotel far away for tonight. We would be able to come back to Courtyard for the second night. This means that we are now far away when we were near, making the whole 5 AM thing a bit irritating, but it also means that we MrsCococ will get out of surgery well before the check-in time at the Courtyard. I guess she can just sit in the car and bleed. The manager wasn't there, and the girl at the desk assured us that this was the best that they could do under the circumstances.FredS wrote: 21 Jun 2022, 14:05 Praying for a restful nights sleep today and a successful outcome tomorrow.
MrsCoco called customer service at Courtyard/Marriot. She explained her situation. When she started to cry on the phone, the customer service representative said that he was having trouble hearing her for "all the beeps, it's like someone is pushing buttons" and hung up on her.
We are presently trying to cancel our reservations for tomorrow at the Courtyard and then book the other hotel. Courtyard is presently refusing to do so, and refusing to give us any refund whatsoever.
