Out camping (glamping) with the family in our RV at a State Park in Texas. I’m always shocked at how many tent campers there are when it’s triple digits out. I pity them as I sit inside our temperature controlled trailer and drink beer.

Cheyenne Frontier Days (aka "the daddy of 'em all', aka 'a big a-- rodeo') is going on this week. The USAF Thunderbirds will perform (is that the right word for what they do?) there in two days. I live 42 miles from the fairgrounds and they've been flying over my house all morning to get their bearings. It's awesome.

When I was a young teen, we lived in Ft Collins and my step dad took us to an air show, and the Blue Angles were there. They flew and then they had a photo op where you could stand on the ladder/steps with a pilot next to the open cockpit. My mother has a picture somewhere. It was so cool!

Then we moved to Rosamond, CA and my step dad worked on Edwards AFB and took us to an air show there and we saw the Thunderbirds fly, but no photo op...
