Opened a tin of Blackjack. From a fine, yeasty broken flake red Virginia, it has morphed into the love child of 5100 and Mac Baren Virginia No. 1.
We are not amused.

I recently took advantage of a sale and discount, and bought a tin of War Horse Bar. I had some a while back but didn't remember much about it, but am really enjoying this...strong, but not harsh. Its like Fusilier's Ration on steroids.

On a whim I ordered a couple of C&D aro samples:
Bob Bushman - pleasant enough at first, but about a quarter of the way into the bowl I started getting an off-putting after taste and weird mouth-feel. I didn't go back for seconds. If one of you wants to try and see if it works better for you let me know. I'll send it to your way.
Founding Fathers - Great light, mellow, aro experience. Packs easy and burns dry and even all the way down. Very enjoyable top to bottom. I can't say I can clearly identify the "flavor of an exotic fruit originally from the middle East" in its description, but it is very pleasant. No nic hit detectable at all.

I found an old pouch of Condor Long Cut flake. I decided to rehydrate it a bit and give it a go. I picked an old estate briar bulldog that I don't care much about, just in case.
I don't know if it's the age on the tobacco or the loss of my senses (to covid), but it's not the perfume soap monster that fresh Condor used to be.
Actually, it's a simple, pleasant virginia tobacco flavor to me (not that anyone should trust my opinion anymore). I definitely get that "Condor moment" feeling.

A tin of Kramer's Father Dempsey. I found it to be a very decent English mixture.

I opened a 50g pouch of Revor Plug just now. I had to get this from Switzerland a few years ago thanks to the UK CC laws.

I’ve got a pound or 2 stashed in my cellar and I really look forward to some Fall weather to enjoy it.Bloodhound wrote: 21 Jul 2023, 14:37 Popped open a tin of Ten Russians...I forgot what a powerhouse blend it is and with a little age...smooooooth

A jar of Dark Birdseye that Jim sent me for safekeeping. It was at the perfect humidity and was enjoyed in a Pete African meer.
