Your Favorite Book Reading Blend?
I've seen this on the shelf at my B&M but I'm not sure if I've ever tried it which is strange because I've been a pipe smoker all of my life.

I like the HB all by itself...give it a little time to age and it is a good smooth strong smoke. YMMVMrPiper wrote: 10 Oct 2022, 18:53 Mine was always either PS Lux Bulseye or if I was in the house Dan Milonga.
I thought Haunted Bookshop would be a great pick for this but it was a woefully boring dud. I mixed it half with some exhausted rooster hoping g to mellow it a bit and the blend was even worse than the two individually![]()

I'm enjoying the Comoy's blends. Not overly complex (which is lost on me anyway) but very enjoyable all day blends, IMHO. They will likely replace my beloved McClelland's blends when they are all gone for regularly smoked blends.

Haunted Bookshop tasted like parmesan cheese and unwashed foot. I'm with you on this.MrPiper wrote: 10 Oct 2022, 18:53 Mine was always either PS Lux Bulseye or if I was in the house Dan Milonga.

Cask #2 is an aro that's easy to smoke and easy to find/buy.

Ah, no wonder I've not tried it. Not that I have anything against aromatics, they just dont call my name.

Thus my warning. There are other Comoy's Cask blends - english, balkan, va-per - that may be more to your taste if yer looking to experiment. Ask SlowToke.Jocose wrote: 11 Oct 2022, 11:44Ah, no wonder I've not tried it. Not that I have anything against aromatics, they just dont call my name.

As shocking as this might be. I confess to enjoying Carter Hall as I read a book.
