I just picked a mason jar of Kajun Kake dated 06/30/07 (wax sealed which I always did before I met Rusty) and am going to have a bowl in a nose burner meer.
Look at the crystals!

Absolutely wonderful. This 15 year old Kajun Kake has aged very well. Tin note is very strong fruit and earth, moisture level was on the dry side but not overly so.
The Red Virginia's are nice and creamy and seem to have a nice fermented and mellowed taste and I detect some lovely sweetness. The Virginia and Perique have melded extremely well.
I'm gonna savor the rest of this bowl..

That's quite a stash to have forgotten about. Bayou Morning is one of those blends I hear a lot of folks speak really highly of that I have never enjoyed personally. Not sure what it is about it, but just don't like it.
That Irish Flake, however...now I'd show that good time.
