Stuff you didn't know about until now

I learned of Roll Pin Punches today. On seeing them, I recalled some pins on my long guns that have a small center indention these punches would fit.

At one point long ago, the powers that be were considering naming a new state 'Columbia.' They decided that would be too easily confused with the District of Columbia, so they wisely named the new state 'Washington' instead.

Although hand axe and hatchet are often used interchangeably, they are not the same thing. A hand axe is essentially a miniature axe with a flat butt or poll on the back side of the head, whereas a hatchet has a hammerhead on the back.
