Went to the local co-op today. They were out of a mess load of seed. They didn't even have any sweet corn. Luckily, one of the guys that works there overheard me and my dad talking about it and he graciously went to the back and grabbed a 2 lb bag of G90 that he had set back for himself. He said there was no way he was going to get it in the ground before all this rain comes in and let us buy it.

It's a pitiful sight when even the co-op is low on a staple so necessary as seed.

Eggs are more than double in price and quantities are limited.

Millions of chickens are being destroyed all over the Midwest due to outbreaks of bird flu. All of the farm flocks within a six-mile radius of any observed outbreak. But the virus still spreads via wild birds that flock all over.

Ya'all thought we were done with pandemic panics, did'ya?

Not only does Home Derp-o not have contact cement, it appears to be out at Blowe's as well. They do have some at the location in North Huntsville, so I might have to do the longer drive. At least I CAN get some, which may be better than the situation that awaits us in the future.
