Hov ain't around no more (praying he's ok), and there's been no garden thread. All of my tomatoes are gone, plants pulled up, picante sauce made and eaten. I never did plant okra, but I'm buying fresh local okra at the store, so there's that. Jalapenos are still making, and I'm putting them in jars of hot vinegar with a little olive oil, salt, and a thin slice or two of carrot. (I don't know why the slice of carrot, but I've always seen others do it so I do it.) Now muscadine grapes are beginning to ripen, and I'm picking a few already. I'll make jelly for sure, and maybe a gallon or two of wine like last year.

Made a batch of muscadine jelly today. And also sliced and jarred a few left over jalapenos.

Here I am!
My garden is on the way out due to our drought.
All that's left is one tomato plant(Brandywine) a solitary Fresno Chili and a singular Italian. The white pomegranate looks to be promising a bountiful crop though.

Tough summer for gardens here at my house also. A few Better Boy and Celebrity tomatoes, some jalapenos, and few cucumbers. I sliced and pickled a cucumber for the fridge a day or so ago.

Three cucumber plants was a bad idea.... They're coming in droves! I've been pickling them. The beets are doing well. Sugar snap peas are struggling, but are making it. Green beans might be ready for a first picking next week. Popcorn is shooting tassel. Tomatoes are coming on. Jalapenos, bell peppers, tobasco peppers and banana peppers are doing well.
