Prepping?

Freak storm today. It was supposed to rain, it's snowing - 8". The cherry tree blossoms are beautiful in the snow, but the trees are breaking. The power is out due to trees on the line. Prepping? I'd be talking a hard look at alternate power sources.

I keep two week’s worth of food and water for hurricane season plus whatever regular groceries we have on hand. I don’t usually keep such, but I was also given two cases of MREs recently. I could probably stretch all of it out for five or six weeks if we had to. Ammo, whiskey, and pipe tobacco (the important stuff) could go much farther.

My biggest long-term exposure is Rx depletion. Don’t have a solution for that unless we go all apocalyptic walking dead kind of stuff and resort to theft and treachery. Being fat and slow doesn’t really inspire confidence in that scenario.

Lots of non-perishable food and equipment on hand. We’re starting our garden and getting ready to start rabbits.
