What Are You Up To
Busy day! Had to play shed Tetris. Needed to get the mowing tractors accessible and ready to go so everything came out of the shed. A John Deere B, a Ford 8N, two Cubs, a Cub Cadet, an Ultralight airplane (minus the wings and horizontal stab) and a half dozen Gravely's all got moved out onto the grass. I have a 1947 Farmall Cub (first year of production) and a 1956 International Lo-Boy (a Farmall Cub, but shorter and branded as International Harvester) they both have 59" Woods belly mowers. The 56 is my weekly mower and the 47 has been a backup. The 47 had been converted to 12 volt since before I bought it. The 56 was still the original 6 volt. The 56 has been having charging issues. Today I swapped the 12 volt system to the 56 from the 47 and the 6 volt system from the 56 to the 47. The 47 will be getting the coil ignition changed to a magneto ignition in the near future. I changed the oil and filter in the 56 Cub after mowing the back yard. The Gravely 1987 5260 fired right up after sitting for the winter and got some mowing done. The 1963 Gravely LI started up after four pulls on the strap and took down some heavy grass in a very wet area of my yard. The 1944 John Deere B fought me to start, but she was just running on empty. A refill on the gas tank and she fired right up. Nothing is better than starting a two cylinder John Deere with the flywheel. These old machines might not be easy, but they're fun?

What Are You Up To
I’m looking down at a freshly shorn Shih Tzu curled up against my side. She looks up every now and then as if to check on me and it soothes. I should have named her Valium.
