Either Biden is lying (because he thinks we're stupid enough to buy it), or else he remembers a debate night that is entirely different from the one that we saw.

It's the old "liar or lunatic" dichotomy.
Or he's in denial.
Up to his neck in crocodiles in the Nile.
His answer perfectly encapsulates how voters look at the whole debate.

Camp 1. Biden is sharp but he was distracted by the meany Trump who threw him off on purpose. This would have worked for half the voters a while ago, but anyone who actually watched the thing live knows it's not true. Perhaps 20% of dem voters and will intentionally forget the debate and go along with the lie because Joe's their guy. They should ask themselves, if a fella standing on the other side of the stage, saying critical or negative things about him rattles him so much he freezes, what will happen when he's confronted by real bad guys from Russia or Iran?

Camp 2. Trump wasn't 'yelling' at anyone. In fact, both guys clearly hate one another, but were pretty civil. Period. End of story. Biden is lying about what happened and is not a credible candidate. Sure, both guys told a heap of lies during the debate, but he's lying about the debate, not inflating his own record or misspeaking about his plans for the future. The only heated moment I recall was when Biden parroted what is probably a false report that Trump once said only 'losers' found themselves in military service, and that his own son died because of his military service. It was fake rage but Joe's a politician and losing a son "in the war" is simply too golden for him not to trot out. Trump and Biden are both politicians doing what politicians do - - - Biden's just doing it very badly and it's not because he had a cold.

News media on both the left and right have suddenly realized that the real Democrat candidate is Kamala Harris.

If Biden bows out, Kamala is the only person who can legally use Biden's campaign cash. Other candidates would have to start raising from scratch. And we are only a few short weeks away from ballot deadlines in some states. So Democrats must decide quickly whether to run Biden or Kamala.

If Biden stays and if he wins, absolutely no one believes that Biden will remain in office long. He will resign or die or forced out by incapacity, and it will be President Kamala.

A couple of left-side views:

Juan Williams: If Joe Biden can’t do it, Kamala Harris sure can

Van Jones was an Obama advisor, then retired to CNN. He's still a political hack, impersonating a journalist:

Van Jones: Democrats Are Running Kamala Harris For President One Way Or Another, Let's Do It Right
"Nobody believes Joe Biden's going to be president in four years. And so we're in the worst possible world because she can't defend herself, she has to defend him. We can't defend her, we have to defend him," Jones said Sunday on CNN. "The reality is we are running Kamala Harris for president one way or the other. I'd rather run for president in the strongest way rather than the weakest way."
I am surprised and offended at how shamelessly a CNN personality admits that he thinks his job is to support a political candidate.

Meanwhile, Ben Shapiro of Daily Wire just dropped part one of a three-part documentary on Kamala. I did not realize that Kamala was only 29 when she started sleeping with corrupt CA State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown (then 60) to launch her political career. She has failed up from there.

A real doctor/expert talks honestly about Biden's apparent symptoms.

This might be helpful.

Parkinson's forced Roadmaster into early retirement.

The world watched as Pope John Paul the Great declined and died from Parkinson's. We admired his humility and his dignity, for he did not hide his infirmity from us or boast about his golf handicap.

Team Obama has no warm fuzzies for Team Biden. I wonder if Obama escorting the Big Guy off stage at Clooney's fund raiser was a strategic move by Obama----a shot across the bow which the public couldn't miss?
It must have ticked off the deep pockets since Kamala would be the only one to benefit if the Big Guy drops out.
Could Kamala even be rebranded as a viable replacement? As the Border Czar, it's not going to be good optics.
If Kamala does the presidency, will Willie brown get a cabinet seat?

One remembers, while looking back, that Mrs Obama was off limits for public critique. Personally, I think all first ladies (and men when that happens) and first children should be off-limits for late-night comedians and paparazzi. But will Harris, a black women who's a DEI seat-filler if there ever was one, be pampered by the media and comedians? I think our media system is so out of whack that the left media will fawn over her as the New Hope, while the center will be afraid to be critical because she's in a protected class, and the right media will shred her as unfit for the job. Hell, maybe she'll set the world on fire and pick Mrs Obama as her running mate! Or Hillary. President Obama is ineligible for the Presidency so he can't be VP. What's Bernie up to these days?

There really isn't anybody in the Biden Admin with the wisdom and savvy to set policy. Who really decided to hold the border open wide? Who is threading the needle on support for Israel that is just hesitant enough to avoid losing the Islamic vote in Michigan and Minnesota? Who is guiding the backstage diplomacy with China regarding Taiwan? Who is telling the Democrat media what to say? (Their media are a huge tell, as all the outlets seem to get the same message at the same time.)

I am sympathetic to the theory that the Hand Behind the Man is Barack Obama.

I'm suspicious that this is why Obama deigned to take a night off from his weed and come to Clooney's event. He needs to keep Biden looking good. If Trump wins, Obama won't have anyone to whisper to.

Even without this conspiracy, I'm certain that Obama was livid over Biden's demand for an early debate. It blew the cover off of the media conspiracy that Biden is capable. Obama surely watched it and uttered again his famous quip: "Never underestimate Joe's ability to EFF things up."
======================

As for Kamala.... I'm just popping corn and watching the chaos unfold. The media (Left and Right) are making bank with wild speculations by commenters galore.
